2021 Program Registration
We are hopeful in our ability to resume the Mt. Airy Sharpshooters Youth Clay Target Program in 2021 and continue to monitor the COVID-19 assembly restrictions implemented by the State and County. Please stay tuned as additional information will be posted on this website at the end of January regarding registration for the 2021 shooting season.

The Mt. Airy Sharpshooters coaches hope everybody is healthy and managing through this unprecedented situation.
We have been monitoring the Governor’s current stay at home order and hoping we would be able to resume the Mt. Airy Sharpshooters program in May. It appears we are at a minimum two weeks away from any relaxing of the stay at home order, and it is likely when we are allowed to resume some of our normal activities there will still a restriction on the number of persons allowed to assemble.
We are anticipating that assembly guidelines will again be limited to 10 or 50 individuals. We have 83 youth shooters registered for the program. Counting coaches, parents, and siblings we average about 150 people at our weekly practices.
Thus far the Pen-Mar Shoot, Maryland AIM Championship and MD ATA Championship have all be cancelled or rescheduled to the fall, and there is no way we can hold the MD SCTP State Trap Championship on 6/6/20.
Given the uncertainty of what the next few months may bring we have decided to cancel the 2020 shooting season for the Mt. Airy Sharpshooters. We can refund your registration fee, or it can be applied to next year’s program. Please send an email expressing your preference regarding the registration fee. Please note any registration fee refunds will be minus the $20 cost of the raffle ticket given to each shooter.
We are moving forward with the June Sportsman’s Raffle and you should have received a ticket for each shooter and 5 additional tickets to sell. Thanks to all that have sold their raffle tickets and mailed back the ticket stubs and a check. There are additional tickets available if you need more.
Thanks for supporting our program. Without active parent participation there wouldn’t be a Mt. Airy Sharpshooters youth shooting program. When things return to normal the Mt. Airy IWLA will resume trap shooting activities open to the public on Thursday evenings.
